Peter and the Test Tube Babies — Banned from the Pubs
I met Peter and the Test Tube Babies music a while ago when, as I’ve mentioned before, my cousin made me a list of bands I’d probably like.
We’re in the late 70s, in Peaceheaven, a small british town being the nest of two young punks, Del Strangefish and Peter Bywaters, who had the idea of forming a band. And… ta-daah! Peter and the Test Tube Babies was born.
I enjoy the lyrics of their songs, which are mostly absurd and funny, and for that reason they were often tagged as Punk Pathetique (which is actually a music style that involves fun and humorous lyrics with punk), and I always have a laugh or two when listening to them.
Although Banned from the Pubs doesn’t have such funny lyrics, the whole song is more of a rant about how it was being a young punk in England and I really like it. Hope you like it too.
